About us

Is there a dog waste problem in your area? Are you frustrated that your city isn’t doing anything to combat it?
Poo Free Parks is a new program that will help reduce dog waste while being environmentally friendly at the same time.
Plastic pollution is becoming an increasingly huge problem all over the globe. Normal plastic bags are estimated to take 1000 years to disintegrate. Poo Free Parks uses 100% biodegradable plastic bags. These Poo Free Parks bags will biodegrade within 18 months of being disposed of and doesn’t leave behind any non-natural components.
Along with the biodegradable bags, Poo Free Parks also uses dispensers that are made from 100% recycled aluminum. A Poo Free Park staff member will maintain the dispensers when needed. The maintenance includes, restocking, cleaning, and even cleaning graffiti from the units. The dispensers are designed to endure harsh weather conditions and will be replaced when the fail to meet a certain appearance standard. As well as being aesthetically pleasing they are eye catching and pleasant to look at. Locks are placed to deter vandals and secured as to not be used as a waste basket.
Another great feature of the program is that instead of using tax-payer money, Poo Free Parks dispensers at a Poo Free Park are sponsored by local businesses and organizations. Individuals can also take part in the program by sponsoring individual Poo Free Parks dispensers.
In order to further help better our community we are working with local homeless rehabilitation facilities in an effort to create jobs for those that need them. As well as offering the same opportunities to a battered women’s shelter. Through this program we are not only employee those that need a hand up, but we are reducing the demand on local parks and recreation employees.
In order to ensure the Poo Free Parks dispensers are stocked and well maintained there is a number printed on the side to report any problems or concerns with the units.
Every community should have access to a Poo Free Park baggy dispenser. Providing this service will make it more convenient to clean up after pets, which leads to all sorts of benefits. Not only is it less of a nuisance to not have any dog waste left unattended it also reduces the risk of kids that play in the dirt from being infected with harmful parasites. When not picked up, the parasites in dog feces can lay eggs in the soil that can linger in the soil for years. |
